December 2018 Charity Support | Radio Christmas 2018 and Scannappeal

As per our Company’s values, we are committed to supporting local charities and the community. Further to this, we are pleased to confirm our backing this December for two charities we have previously supported - Radio Christmas and Scannappeal Amersham. Both of these charities are local to the Amersham and surrounding areas and provide much needed support to their respective areas of focus.

Radio Christmas 2018

Celebrating ten years, Radio Christmas is a festive charity radio station run by volunteers who broadcast from Amersham (this year from Café Africa) across the world raising much needed funds for street kids in one of the most deprived areas of central America (mainly Guatemala and Honduras).  Their teams provide: much needed care to children who have been abandoned on the streets by their parents, a network of mentors/carers and feeding centres.  Programmes all designed in partnership with other agencies to offer support, training and opportunities to the children.

Please support Radio Christmas by tuning in on 87.7FM from the 1st December 2018 to 24th December 2018.  You can also listen on Apple TV, your mobile via the mobile app (both Apple and Android), or online

The Scannappeal

Founded in March 1987, Scannappeal raises funds to purchase life-saving equipment for Amersham, Stoke Mandeville, Wycombe and Community Hospitals which serve people living in Buckinghamshire and neighbouring parts of Berkshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Oxfordshire. Since they began, they have raised over £14m and funded equipment in every department in the hospitals they support. Every 10 minutes a patient in our local area is diagnosed or treated with equipment funded by Scannappeal.

As with previous years, we have agreed to sponsor the Scannappeal annual Christmas carol concert held on the 4th December at St Marys Church, Old Amersham. The concert will be a wonderful event, starting at 7:30pm. Tickets can be booked directly via their online site:
